Tabimina Balintawak

I am a certified instructor and authorized chapter head of Tabimina Balintawak New Jersey, a close-range Filipino Martial Art (FMA) system derived from the original Balintawak style founded by Great Grandmaster Anciong Bacon in the 1950s. I am a direct student of Great Grandmaster Bobby Tabimina, Grandmaster Flint Tabimina, and other senior members of the Tabimina family, learning the art at its highest level and preserving the integrity of its principles.

My teaching focuses on cultivating refined body mechanics, precise timing, reflexive response, and the psychological dynamics of real-time combat. A core principle in my training approach is Sun Tzu’s insight that “all warfare is based on deception,” a concept that’s fully embodied in the timing, rhythm, and tactical misdirection of Tabimina Balintawak.

In addition to Balintawak, I incorporate other systems to enhance neuromuscular coordination and develop dynamic angular strike patterns across multiple lines of attack. 

The curriculum includes modules in stick work, empty-hand applications, and edged and impact weapons, ensuring a comprehensive and adaptable martial framework.
